February 2008 Grants were awarded to the following:

  • Caitlin Gilmour (badminton) £200 – currently ranked No1at U14 in Scotland for mixed doubles, ranked 2 in Singles and ranked 3 in Girls Doubles. She is part of U15 National Training squad in Glasgow and Ayrshire Satellite Cell training group

  • Ayrshire Flyers speed Skating Club £288 – grant to host Scotland v England Competition for Juniors on 9th February, in Magnum. First time in 10 years event held in Scotland(Carol Miller –  received cheque on behalf of Club)

January 2008 Grants were awarded to the following at the Citadel on Thurs 10th Jan 08:

• Ilona Stubley (Prestwick tennis club) to attend a Level 1 Tennis Assistance Coaching course
• Steven Smith (Ayr Lawn tennis club) to attend a Level 1 Tennis Assistance Coaching course
• Fraser McCurdy (Ayr Lawn tennis club) to attend a Level 1 Tennis Assistance Coaching course
• Robyn Love (Ayr Lawn tennis club) to attend a Level 1 Tennis Assistance Coaching course
• Calum Gee (Prestwick tennis club) – as Scotland No 1 U18 player, to attend International Tennis Federation events to increase his current ITF Junior U18 World ranking of 554, aiming for a ranking of 200 or less to allow entry into junior Wimbledon
• James Sinclair (Prestwick tennis club) - to attend three day LTA Player Training Camp at National Tennis Centre, Roehampton, London (one of eight boys selected in the 10 years and under age group from throughout the UK) and to attend Regional (Tennis Scotland) weekly training sessions at Scotstoun, Glasgow
• Rachel Whittle (Ayr Seaforth athletic club) – to attend Scottish Schools Pentathlon Training day in Grangemouth prior to competing in British Schools Pentathlon International at Kelvin Hall, Glasgow in Scottish U16 age group on 8th Dec, and to prepare for 08 Indoor season.
