November 2007 Grants were awarded by Chris Carlyle at the Savoy Park Hotel to the following:

John Wardrope (South Ayrshire Access To Sport - football) £250: Selected for Scottish Cerebral Palsy Football Squad to participate in CP – ISRA World Championships in Brazil 3rd -18th November.

Paul Gillon and Steven McKay (Ayr Seaforth Athletic club) £75: UKA Athletics Level 1 coaching course at Largs in Sept

October 2007. three young speed skating stars were awarded grants to support a training and competition programme summarised as follows: Attend Scottish Development squad training and having achieved qualifying standards will compete in junior categories of the ‘Star Class’ events in Germany and Netherlands (which is level below World Cup) Compete in UK National Trials, British Open and Dutch Open.
They are Craig Miller, Jennifer Miller, and Shannon Scott, seen below with receiving their cheques from SASC Chairman Chirs Carlyle.

October 2007. Four members of the South Ayrshire Volleyball Club were awarded grants to attend Volleyball Training for Young Scotland Squad at Inverclyde in July having been selected for the West of Scotland Team competing in the UK School Games in Coventry in August: Jennifer Jones, Alyson Jones, Lorna McLean, and Kirsty McLean.
